The Aims of the H.D.T.A.E.

The H.D.T.A.E. aims to arrange technical instruction at regular intervals, and generally to do everything that will advance the art of Highland Dancing and all competitive dancing and to try to preserve all non competitive traditional Scottish Dances.

To deal with any unethical professional conduct as the Association deems necessary relating to pupils, competitions and participants.

To endeavour to assist any teacher in keeping their school or class functioning in the event of illness or other unforeseen circumstances if asked to by the teacher concerned.

To uphold the Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing code of ethics.

In order to achieve these aims we compile and distribute a News Letter to all our members and meet once a year to discuss the future plans and review the previous year's activities.
